ERIK LEDGER Vs. BILLY RANSOM

Erik Ledger, a fast and talented wrestler was making his debut against the popular hero, the highflying and hardcore Billy Ransom. The result was quite surprising. Ledger and Ransom started off with a fast exchange of moves, but Ransom flew off the top rope with a flying sunset flip and scored the pinfall, which wasn’t what was expected to happen. Ledger couldn’t believe he had such a bad start!

TAG-TEAM TITLE MATCH

'TEXAS DEATH' ALEX COUGAR & 'BAD DOG' SCOTT HAGGARTY

Vs.

THE DIRTY FACES

Cougar and Haggarty looked like a good team last week. In fact, they looked so good Wyngarde has given them a title match against the champs, Bastard and Bronski, the Dirty Faces! Haggarty was brutal in this match, showing what a real wrestling juggernaut he can be. And he worked well with Cougar, with good tag-team moves and being ring savvy. The thing was, Leon Bronski and Jim Bastard were equal to it. They’re tag-team masters and they were able to cut off Cougar from Haggarty for long periods. However, when Haggarty did get in, he cleared house. Haggarty looked mighty good and we join the match in the final moments…

MC: Haggarty has been all over Bronski and Bastard. Haggarty tries to whip Bastard to the ropes but it is reversed! Blind tag from Cougar. Haggarty ducks the clothesline and holds on to the ropes, in comes Cougar from behind...BELLY TO BACK SUPLEX!!!

EH: Bronski trips Haggarty up and pulls him to the outside of the ring.

MC: Cougar brings Bastard to his feet, whips him to the corner…runs in...big clothesline!!! DDT! Cougar makes the cover…

EH: Haggarty and Bronski brawling away outside the ring, a real slugfest.

MC: Cougar…LOW BLOW!!! LOW BLOW FROM BASTARD!!! He pulls him over into a small package…

HAGGARTY MAKES THE SAVE!

EH: 3!!!

MC: BUT NOT IN TIME!!! THE DIRTY FACES RETAIN!!!

EH: I hate to say this, but Haggarty deserved more than that, he put in a strong performance.

MC: The Dirty Faces continue their incredible reign as tag-team champions.

FIRST FORK MATCH

DAVID LEE Vs. KING HELL

Young star David Lee may have got the victory but King Hell bust him open after their last match. Martin Wyngarde ordered a rematch putting them in a 'First Fork' match - the first man to draw blood from his opponent using the fork left in the middle of the ring wins the match! David Lee was much less risk taking in this match, keeping to stiff punches, kicks, dropkicks, elbows and the like. King Hell bullied David Lee in this match though as they brawled and fought for the fork. It wasn’t pretty, but it was tense. What confused things is that King Hell bust Lee open in the match anyhow, exposing a turnbuckle and dropping Lee face first onto it. We join the match in the final moments…

MC: King Hell…CHOKESLAAAAAAAAAAMS DAVID LEE!!!

EH: He has the fork!!! He has the fork!!!

MC: And he has the mic!!!

KH: Little boy, if you can hear me, I’m about to f*** you face with a f***. I’m going to create lots of extra f***holes on your f***ing face.

[ OH MY GOD! POP! ]

MC: SCOTT HAGGARTY!!! He’s rushed into the ring and he’s started unleashing on King Hell!!! He’s not going to let David Lee get destroyed.

EH: This shouldn’t be allowed!

MC: DDT!!! Haggarty with a big DDT on King Hell.

EH: And now Lee is up and Lee has the fork…

[ OH THAT IS SICK! POP! ]

MC: And David Lee GOUGES King Hell’s head with the fork!!!

[ DING DING DING!!! ]

EH: David Lee gets the win!

MC: Now he has the mic…

DL: King Hell, you know how you said YOU were going to f*** ME up….well I’ve got plans for you and they’re a lot worse…after I’m done with you, you won’t even be recognised by your mama.

MC: OH MY GOD!!! I think David Lee means it!

EH: HE’S SCRAPING AWAY AT KING HELL’S FACE WITH THAT FORK!!!

[ DING DING DING DING DING ]

MC: This is no way for a role model to behave.

[ Heel pop from the fans! ]

EH: The fans are turning against David Lee, just as I’m beginning to like him.

MC: This is not pretty…Zaki, The Islamic Extremist, is in the ring now and even he’s telling David Lee to stop…

[ HEEL POP! ]

MC: David Lee, he’s gone over the edge with this bloodlust! He’s just superkicked Zaki…and Zaki is one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet.

EH: We’ve seen a turning point here. Welcome to the dark side David Lee, welcome to the dark side!

RUSSIAN SHOOT VAMPIRE, DEMETER ROMANOV Vs. AL TONKA

Romanov has drunk the blood of Al Tonka a couple of times, and emerged victorious, but at Point Death it was Al Tonka who grabbed the victory. What will happen in this encounter? The answer is ANYTHING! Al Tonka had all the fans behind him. He was the most aggressive he’s ever been in this match, going after Romanov with barrages of headbutts and closed fisted punches to the head all in the quest to bust Romanov open. In fact that’s all the drunk Native American seemed to try to do. But he was certainly provoked after the Russian Shoot Vampire blindsided Tonka before the match began, smashing him over the head with a Soviet flag. The intensity wasn’t just from Tonka. Demeter cranked his shoot level up a few notches with brutal axe kicks (the Iron Heel Kick of Communism) and knees to the temple for example. The fans really got into this as these two enemies really put the hurt on each other with few attempts to win the match. We join the match in the seventh minute…

MC: Bobby Trevor is still recovering, Romanov is bleeding. Al sets up a table, puts Romanov on it, he could finish Romanov off with this…goes to the top…

[ OH MY GOD! POP! ]

EH: And that’s why you have a manager!

MC: Mr Sushi pulled Romanov off the table and Tonka splashed through the table! The table broke in two!

EH: Tonka is wiped out!

MC: OH NO! Romanov bears his fangs…he isn’t is he…he isn’t…

EH: HE DOES!!! He covers Tonka…

EH: ROMANOV WINS!

MC: But he stays on top of Tonka because…OH MY GOD!!! He is drinking the blood of Tonka from his neck!!!

EH: Previously Romanov had drunk the blood of already open wounds, but Romanov made these wounds himself…and...I think he’s going to turn Tonka into a Vampire this way…this is how they do it isn’t it?

MC: Romanov has finished drinking Tonka’s blood and now Mr Sushi drapes the Soviet flag over the fallen drunken Native American’s body.

EH: Romanov leaves with Sushi…what a deadly competitor he is.

MC: Without question. He’ll be challenging for a title very soon.

EH: His Russian Vampire Shoot style is unique and deadly to all.

[ OH MY GOD! POP! ]

MC: TONKA!!!! TONKA WITH A VAMPIRE SIT UP!!! He should be out cold but he is back from the dead!

EH: I don’t like this!

MC: He’s just sitting there, a blank dead look in his eyes!

EH: I’m scared Monty!

MC: His body covered in his own blood but…Eric, are you seeing what I’m seeing?

EH: He seems a lot paler than before…drained of life…oh no Monty…Al Tonka has joined the ranks of the undead….Dracula, Romanov, Karl Rove…

MC: Ladies and gentlemen, are we seeing the beginning of Al Tonka, Drunk Native American Vampire?

BULL TYLER & EL SAVAJE Vs. 'CODE RED' RYAN SHARPE & THE BABY EATER

Sharpe choked the World Champ out again. But Bull Tyler is teamed with the man who may have the very next title shot at him - El Savaje! His feud with Baby Eater is really heating up, and Baby Eater will want revenge for the whole Asian Midget fiasco. Little Savaje was at ringside for this contest. Both sets of teams were uneasy pairs, but Sharpe and Eater were getting great pops from the fans. Despite the tension, the teams put their differences aside and a good match was seen by the fans. There wasn’t much finesse to the wrestling, it was very much a brawl. It was interesting seeing Sharpe’s MMA style against El Savaje. Sharpe and Eater seemed to build up a good understanding throughout the battle and began to work better as a team, saving each others necks on quite a few occasions. El Savaje and Tyler also put their differences aside to cut off one of their opponents. It was Eater who took a lot of the punishment. There was a great moment with El Savaje and Ryan Sharpe grappling on the ground trying to apply their finishers while Baby Eater and Bull Tyler brawled outside the ring. We join the match at this moment…

MC: Bull Tyler…shoves Baby Eater against the ring post…picks up a chair…

[ CRACK! ]

MC: OH MY GOD! Baby Eater got sandwiched between the post and the chair! Ryan Sharpe has El Savaje in the Rear Naked Choke…Bull Tyler into the ring with a steel chair…

[ CRACK! SMASH! BANG! THUD! CLANG! ]

EH: OH MY GOD!!!! TYLER HAS LOST IT!!!

MC: I thought he was just going to save El Savaje, but he’s just hitting indiscriminately at both men and when someone as big as Tyler does that, it hurts more than ever!

[ DING DING DING ! ]

MC: Bobby Trevor has called for a DQ but he can’t stop Bull Tyler in the mood he’s in!

EH: This is brutal! He isn’t stopping!

MC: Sharpe and Savaje are bloodied…and finally, finally, he stops and he demands a microphone…

Bull Tyler: Sharpe…you want a cage match with me…YOU’VE GOT IT.

[ OH MY GOD! POP! ]

MC: LITTLE SAVAJE!!! Off the top rope and he leaps onto Bull Tyler with a sleeperhold…

EH: Bull Tyler just grabs the little man, his arms not able to get around Bull Tyler’s neck…

MC: …OH MY GOD! He throws him some thirty feet into the crowd!!! And now Baby Eater is back up…

[ CRRRRRRRRRACK ]

EH: That is no way to treat the world champion!

MC: Baby Eater, he’s the only one left standing, bodies all on the floor…OH MY GOD!

THE MAIN EVENT

STATE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH

JAKE COGBURN Vs. 'HIGHLIGHT' CHANCE MCKENZIE

'Highlight' Chance MacKenzie really screwed the State Champion 'Oklahoma' Jake Cogburn at Point Death, and now MacKenzie has a title shot against the State Champion. But Cogburn has proven to be a very able competitor, that is why he is the State Champion, but the highly confident McKenzie has picked up two straight wins and is already possibly the most hated man in OMGW. There was a lot of interest in this match, with quite a few wrestling journalists in attendance. Steve Hanson was helping to give commentary, but most interestingly was Scott Haggarty at ringside, standing very close to Ashleigh Winters, neutralising any chance she had to impact on this match. Haggarty was her shadow and in the opening minutes she complained several times to Bobby Trevor and he soon had enough of her, sending both her and Haggarty to the back. This left Cogburn and McKenzie to have a match where Cogburn was surprisingly the ones the fans wanted to win. No doubt these two young stars will go on to headline many major wrestling events. Both were cunning with their bending of the rules, and Cogburn’s mat wrestling was superior to McKenzie’s, but McKenzie’s aerial endeavours caused problems for Cogburn. Cogburn’s response was simple – keep McKenzie grounded and work on the arm. There was a very nasty moment when Jake put McKenzie’s arm in a folded steel chair then jumped on it from the top turnbuckle! Later McKenzie reversed a rope whip, kicked Cogburn in the midsection, got back to the ropes once again, and came back with a Yakuza Kick that knocked Cogburn clean out, with Cogburn kicking out at the last second. Quite a lot of near falls, quite a bit of cheating that Bobby Trevor had trouble keeping up with, oh yes, this match was great stuff and we join it in the closing moments, twenty minutes in…

EH: LOWBLOW! McKenzie with a delicious low blow.

MC: Cogburn thought he had McKenzie at his mercy.

SH: Just what I expect from people like McKenzie.

MC: McKenzie coming over here again Hanson…you shouldn’t have to put up with that kind of abuse.

SH: Don’t worry Monty, I’m not going to.

EH: What does he mean by that?

MC: McKenzie…he’s going for the Greeetings From Milan…FRONT FLIP PILEDRIVER!!! Cogburn is finished…

EH: Get back here Hanson!

[ FACE POP! ]

MC: IRONSPEAR! IRONSPEAR! Hanson just drove McKenzie across the ring with that Ironspear!

[ DING DING DING ]

MC: McKenzie was provoking Hanson all match, he just couldn’t help being cocky towards the number one hero in OMGW, but its ended up costing him the State Championship match!

EH: But he’s got the win. He’s got the DQ win!

MC: Hanson leaves the ring, he’s angry, shaking his head, annoyed with losing his temper, but McKenzie will have got the message…AND HERE IS ANOTHER ONE!!! OKLAHOMA ARMBAR FROM THE STATE CHAMPION!

EH: The Oklahoma State Champion!

MC: McKenzie is brought back to reality with that oh so painful hold, his arms having been softened up all match…he’s tapping but Cogburn will not let go, he will not let go!

EH: HANSON!!! What is he up to? Now he SAVES McKenzie?

MC: Hanson pulls Cogburn off McKenzie and throws him out of the ring.

EH: And now McKenzie is up, holding his arm, still hurting from the IronSpear, and he is staring at Hanson…Hanson staring back…Cogburn too…

MC: Eric, I smell a three-way dance coming! We’re outta here though, we’ll see you at ‘Thou Shall Kill’!!!
