National Express Wrestling proudly presents…
GRUDGEMENT DAY!
250 fans turned up to the Michael Stipe Ballroom in anticipation of a night of blood and violence as National Express Wrestling turns up the notch!
The first match of the night was two very similar teams going up against each other as THE THIIIIIING and PETE SHERIDAN faced JAAKU ONIMUSHA and NIKUI MONSUTAA, otherwise known as SAISHUUHEIKI, making a special guest appearance. The Thiiiiiing and Nikui Monsutaa are two big brainless monsters and Jaaku Onimusha and Pete Sheridan are two high flyers. The appearance of the fairly well known Saishuuheiki got the fans interested in this match, but it wasn’t very good with neither team really being that bothered about it, it seemed. Shona did her bit to give her team the edge when she could, but while The Thiiiing and Monsutaa brawled outside the ring, Onimusha and Sherdian were left in the centre of the ring and Sheridan reversed a small package to get the 1-2-3 at the 6.43 mark.
Next up was a National Championship #1 contenders match featuring YUBAI, THE GENOCIAL GIANT against ALAN IVORY. Yubai came out first and said that he may have lost last week but he is the dominant force in Nat-Ex and will win the National Championship and the State Championship. He then said he was about to have the easiest match of his life. And he was right. Ivory has been on a hot streak but last week he got the shock of his life from Mental Ben’s anal attack, which saw Ben be suspended from Nat-Ex. Ivory did not appear to be right in his head, slightly traumatised by the event. Ivory uncharacteristically charged Yubai, but Yubai just booted him in the face and then immediately flattened him with the Kamikaze face-first powerbomb. 1-2-3. Victory to Yubai. And then, from out of the crowd…MENTAL BEN! He was going for Ivory again, but this time Sheridan and The Thiiiing were there to save their stable mate, and then held Mental Ben while Ivory unleashed his vengeance. Cassidy came out and told Ivory to stop, and Ivory said he would but wanted to face Ben one more time. Cassidy agreed, lifted Ben’s suspension and scheduled Alan Ivory vs. Mental Ben for the next show.
They’ve barely been able to make it to the ring in all their scheduled matches so far, and they even got arrested last week for violence in the car park, but THE CALI CONNECTION finally squared off against THE DIRTY FACES in a street fight for the tag-team championships. Jose Ruiz and El Loco Gato had the fans fully behind them and they put up quite a decent fight, but Jim Bastard and Leon Bronski love the Street Fight rules, they are the masters of it. This match went everywhere, everything was used, and all men were cuts and bruised. The match even ended up outside the arena, and it was here the match came to an end with Jim Bastard piledriving Jose Ruiz through a sun roof and Leon Bronski throwing El Loco Gato off a wall with a 10 foot drop onto the concrete floor. When it became clear that neither El Loco Gato or Jose Ruiz could continue, the referee called for an end to the match and awarded The Dirty Faces with the tag-team championship.
‘THE PALADIN' CHRIS HARTT had yet to get a clear victory over 'CLEAN & FAIR' EDDIE DARE but in this sealed cage HOUSE OF PAIN match where victory can only be assured by submission, there would be nowhere for Dare to hide from Hartt. In all respects, for the first five minutes this match was clean and fair match with a good exchange of wrestling holds, but Hartt was clearly the better wrestler. This created frustration for Dare who resorted to cleverly hidden chokes to wear his opponent down. The referee could never quite see when it was happening. The match went on with the crowd driving Hartt on through some tough stretches of the match. Dare got nasty in some points of the match when the ref had been knocked out, banging Hartt’s knee and elbow joints into the cage then going to work on them, but Hartt fought through the pain, and in the nineteenth minute, Hartt reversed a kneeling hammerlock from Dare into a crossface chickenwing submission – his Avenger finisher! There was nowhere for Dare to go, and he quickly submitted giving Hartt the clean and fair victory over Eddie Dare that he had been striving for. But it was not to end there for Chris Hartt, because out came ‘Tycoon’ Morten Wyngarde with a gang of hired thugs in Armani suits, just like him. With a mic in his hand he calmly explained he didn’t like being called an ‘intolerant chump’ and fortunately was rich enough to deal with anything he didn’t like, any single way he wanted to. With that he signalled for his Armani Army to storm the cage, which they did, and for a good few minutes they did a real number on Chris Hartt while Wyngarde shouted insults at him. It took Hanson, Ransom, Stardust, Spartan and Zaki to work together to finally make the save, but Hartt still needed medical attention following the giant beatdown.
PABLO RAREFACTION put State Champion Steve Hanson out of action last week with his deadly 4-D. Jack Cassidy wanted to show Rarefaction a lesson by bringing in the psycho extremist, ROTTEN JOHNNY, and make Rarefaction fight Johnny in a steel cage. But it didn’t go how Cassidy planned as Rarefaction tore Rotten apart inside that cage and was back to his nasty best. Rotten clearly hadn’t been in training for the match, and hadn’t even wrestled for a year – a complete misjudgement by Cassidy. Rarefaction made the match short but intense, leaving Rotten motionless after three 4-Ds in a row, making the cover academic. But then Steve Hanson showed up at the end of the match and said that when he returned next week, Rarefaction will be dreaming of being as healthy as Rotten was.
The amount of bad blood between National Champion BULL TYLER and number one contender ROB COLE has gone from a stream to a raging river. Cole, who has valid claims to being the National Champion, has come close time and time again, and everyone wanted to see it all settled in this Last Man Standing Steel Cage match. Bull Tyler has been the dominant wrestler in Nat-Ex from day one but Rob Cole has been a real thorn in his side like no other since his debut when Nat-Ex returned.
Cole was definitely eager and bloodthirsty for this match, and was an absolute brawler. Cole looked to target the neck through the course of the match, hittinhg neckbreakers, elbows to the back of the neck, snapping suplexes, and applying wear-down chokes and sleepers. Tyler meanwhile was pleased to just use his strength to throw Cole around into the cage and slamming him, suplexing him and hitting all kinds of breakers. They really took it out of each other but even at the 15 minute mark neither of the bloodied and bruised men had made the other stay down for the ten count. At this point a fan leapt over the crowd barrier and passed Rob Cole a barbed wire baseball bat which he used to vicious effect. The match was getting out of control. The cage walls dripped with blood.
Then a few minutes later there was a massive heel pop from the crowd as a mysterious masked man emerged – with wirecutters in hand. It was the 6’9, 308lb monster from GPWE, Doomlord, a friend of Bull Tyler. Using the wire cutters, he snapped off the chain and got into the cage and helped Tyler do a real number on Cole. Cole fought back relentlessly and the match turned into 2 on 1 for another five minutes. It looked as though Cole would get the victory when he got hold of the wire cutters and really bust Tyler and Doomlord open, but soon he world get caught by a big boot from Tyler and he hit Cole with his Bulldozer powerbomb. No one gets up from that. Cole did at the 3 count. Tyler hit another one on Cole. Cole got up at the 5 count. Tyler his a third. Cole got up at the 7 count. Another Bulldozer. With the fans cheering him up, Cole got up at the 5 count. Tyler took no chances this time and with Doomlord they took Cole down with a spiked Bulldozer. This time there was no getting up for Cole. Tyler was absolutely stunned, never having fought an opponent like this before, and the fans were just going absolutely nuts for Cole, even though he had lost.
