VIOLENCE IN VIRGINIA

VIOLENCE IN VIRGINIA
Saturday 16th September

Tom Clancy High School, Virginia, played host to the second card of National Express Wrestling’s return, with 156 fans in attendance, and views of the website growing quickly to see what the superstars of Nat-Ex had to say about their upcoming contests. The owner, Jack Cassidy, came out, thanked everyone for coming and promised that they would see, without doubt, Violence in Virginia.

The popular, white skinner, purple haired high flying extremist BILLY RANSOM came out intending to turn the fans on and to make sure that his opponent MENTAL BEN didn’t stick his finger up Ransom’s ass. A good section of the crowd were chanting ‘Turn Me On’ throughout the match, but a more vocal minority screamed ‘Finger – Ass’. This match was fast, with Ransom showing finesse, Mental Ben showing crude but effective attacking skills, and the wheelchair-bound Matt ‘The Mouth’ Malone interfering however he could. This match had lots of leaping about, fighting outside the ring and much more, but it ended when Ransom got shouting at Malone, then turned around only to be hit by the flying knee attack of Mental Ben called ‘Special Kneeds’. 1-2-3, it was over. Victorious, and laughing in his retarded simpleton manner, Ben went to pull down Ransom’s trunks to stick his finger up Ransom’s ass, but Ransom recovered just in time and fought Ben off, escaping away from the lunatic.

Next up was supposed to be a tag title match between THE CALI CONNECTION and THE DIRTY FACES but JIM BASTARD & LEON BRONSKI attacked the tag champions EL LOCO GATO and JOSE RUIZ as they made their way to the ring. An all-out brawl ensued which the fans loved, but Nat-Ex officials, and even Jack Cassidy, couldn’t stop it. This was an all out war, but The Dirty Faces were totally dominant in the street-fight brawl. They even pinned El Loco Gato and Jose Ruiz but of course, it didn’t count. After the match, Gato and Ruiz had to be taken for medical treatment, while Jack Cassidy fined Bastard & Bronski $500 and banned them from next weeks show.

The super popular 'THE PALADIN' CHRIS HARTT was up against a man who claims he is the cleanest and fairest wrestler around – ‘CLEAN AND FAIR’ EDDIE DARE but the truth is much further from that and this contest showed that. This was a great wrestling match, starting off with an eventual handshake between the two. The fans were totally cheering Hartt on, and he wrestled with great conviction, but Eddie Dare was able to use his cunning to keep on getting the advantage by cheating in such a way that the referee never saw it. This infuriated Hartt. It looked like this would lead to Dare’s victory but Hartt kept on fighting back and went on to dominate a large section of the match – so much in fact that Eddie Dare walked away from the match, with his hand on his back, giving Hartt the countout victory, but he was far from happy with his opponent.

Topspot: Dare repeatedly choking Hartt but the ref never seeing it, the fans booed but Dare protested his innocence to them.

Yubai, the Genocidal Giant came out and berated Rob Cole and Bull Tyler, saying that he would walk away with the National Championship as neither of them were a match for him, and together they were not a match for him.

CURT COVER and DAVEY DUCK, better known as DUCK & COVER were up against the team that eliminated them from the battle royale, PETE SHERIDAN and THE THIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING, the winner getting a tag-team title shot. Sheridan and Thiiiiing had Shona Maynard with them and got a heel pop. Cover, with his blanket, and Duck, with his duck mask, were what a lot of people expected – despite being popular, they weren’t particularly good and didn’t even look like they should be in the wrestling ring. Since they are untrained 18 year olds, that assessment is pretty correct, and they’d try wrestling moves they’d seen on TV without really knowing how to execute them. Against them, the lumbering Thiiiiiing and the slightly talented Sheridan seemed masterful, and this match turned out not to be long at all! In fact, Shona insisted they drag it out a bit. The match ended with Sheridan hitting the Superkick on Cover then the mentally handicapped Thiiiiing following up with the Banzai drop. 1-2-3, Sheridan and The Thiiiiiing would be facing Cali Connection for the tag-titles.

TopSpot: Curt Cover and Davey Duck double clothes-lining The Thiiiiing but it has no effect and he double clotheslines them back.

The high-flying but hated arrogant rookie ALAN IVORY escaped Mental Ben’s finger but would he be able to escape the power of THE SPARTAN? The power and intensity of The Spartan is overwhelming and he dominated Ivory with brawling in the opening minutes but Ebony Andrews came to the rescue of her man, distracting The Spartan by holding on to his leg enabling Ivory to hit a low blow on The Spartan. Ivory was then able to put his high flying to good effect but still found him getting his ass handed to him by The Spartan. The Spartan even hit Ivory with the SpartanSlam but Ivory kept the referee’s attention long enough for Ivory to recover. Shortly after, Ivory had Spartan down following a dropkick. He went to the top rope and hit his flying elbow drop – THE TUSK! Everyone thought it was all over, but Spartan had his Spartan Surge, and he kicked out. Ivory then tried hitting away on Spartan but to no effect. Spartan then grabbed Ivory and threw him out of the ring and proceeded to go out of control on him. Ivory got behind Ebony in a bid to stop Spartan, but in his Surge state he knows no limits and threw Ebony out of the way. With that, the referee called for the bell! This didn’t stop Spartan’s attack on Ivory. The referee then declared that the match would have been a double countout but since Spartan attacked a woman in such a flagrant way, he had no choice but to give a DQ victory to Alan Ivory!

The rookie powerhouse PABLO RAREFACTION was very impressive in his battle against Zaki. He’d have to be as impressive when going for the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP against the mega-popular ‘IRONHEAD’ STEVE HANSON, another powerhouse rookie. And this match lived up to the expectations of it – it was full on power versus power, and stiff strikes from Pablo Rarefaction. Slams, suplexes, breakers – all hard hitting, back and forth, not many pin attempts in the early stages. Neither of these men were giving up easily and the fans totally got into this match, giving Hanson lots of support and Rarefaction lots of heel heat for his vicious style. Hanson came close to victory after getting Rarefaction with his IronSpear (as the fans refer to his charging spear), and Rarefaction’s Dimebag Darrell Dropped Dead Double Leg Cradle Piledriver somehow didn’t end up putting Hanson away. Inside the ring and outside the ring, this match didn’t slow down, right up to the final second. At the twenty minute time-limit mark, the ref called for the bell and a time limit draw. But this didn’t stop the fight. It ended with Pablo hitting Hanson with his 4-D not once, but twice, and it would have been three times if the referee hadn’t got in the way to stop Pablo breaking Hanson’s neck! We haven’t seen the last of the battle between these two!

TopSpot: Hanson doubling Pablo in two with his IronSpear. The fans loved it!

The last match was like a main event in its own right, but if any match had the potential to out-do it, it was the National Champion, BULL TYLER defending his title against both YUBAI, THE GENOCIAL GIANT and the popular veteran brawler ROB COLE. This match was exactly what was expected – a big brawl with no man trusting or teaming with another, with no one able to dominate because the moment someone would get one down, another would get up and attack. The balance of power was constantly changing. Yubai was perhaps the most dominating, using his size and power to the best effect, but with the fans behind him, Cole was looking really good. And then something shocking happened. With the referee accidentally crushed following a charging big boot from Yubai, Rob Cole yanked a spike out of his boot and started digging in with jabs to the forehead of Tyler and Yubai! He gouged blood out, their faces quickly becoming crimson masks! He clotheslined Yubia out of the ring and DDT’d Bull Tyler, leaving a big bloody mark on the mat, then hit the World’s Ugliest Frog Splash just as the referee came to his senses…1…2….3! Rob Cole won! As he celebrated his National Championship victory, Bull Tyler got up and wiped him out with the Bulldozer then told the referee what Cole did. Yubai also came into the ring and petitioned the referee for the match to continue. Then Jack Cassidy came out and helped the referee make the decision by declaring the match be fought again next week – in a double blood match!!!
Match rating: 9/10

RC: 9/10
BT: 8/10
Topspot: Aside from the blood-letting, as Yubai and Tyler are brawling outside of the ring, Cole shakily climbed to the top turnbuckle and dived with a senton on to both men.

With a card like this, fans are going to be eager to see what happens next Saturday when National Express Wrestling travels to Idaho for INFERNO IN IDAHO!
