National Express Wrestling proudly presents...
INFERNO IN IDAHO!
200 fans turned up to see some great National Express Wrestling…but they had to make do with some wrestling that was kind of okay.
The show opened with WOOWOO STARDUST extolling the virtue of fish slices and how a slice of fish could be the barrier to a true understanding of Schopenhauer. MORTEN WYNGARDE came out and told Stardust to shut his poor little mouth. The Tycoon then gave Stardust money to leave the ring and forfeit the match. Stardust took it and stuffed it up his nostrils. Wyngarde said he knew Stardust was known for being strange but this was beyond a joke and it was time to knock some sense into him. Wyngarde clotheslined Stardust and the match began. Wyngarde impressed the fans with his wide array of suplexes, and Stardust was quite good with his high flying/aerial attack but Wyngarde was too good and beat Stardust by pinfall with his Bottom Dollar german suplex.
Next out was 'THE PALADIN' CHRIS HARTT who accidentally made his way out to the ring a bit too early – just as 'Tycoon' Morten Wyngarde was leaving! The two almost came to blows before owner Jack Cassidy got between them. Hartt then made his way to the ring to a good face pop – his popularity is shooting up. Out next was 'CLEAN & FAIR' EDDIE DARE who had a mic in his hand and said he almost had Hartt beat last week but had to stop due to a really bad back injury. In fact, it was so bad, he couldn't wrestle this week. No one was buying it, not even for a minute. Especially Jack Cassidy who told Dare to stop being a coward and face Hartt like a man. Dare told Cassidy that Nat-Ex insurance wouldn't cover him if he got a permanent injury after his doctor told him not to wrestle. Cassidy said that everyone knew Dare's doctor was a joke. Hartt had had enough and grabbed Dare and pulled him to the ring where they then fought for a few minutes and Dare seemed absolutely fine while he was doing well, his trademark expert cheating giving him the edge, but as soon as Hartt got the advantage, putting Dare into a wristlock, Dare started complaining about his back again. The next chance he got to get out of the ring, he did leaving Hartt once again with a countout victory. But just as Dare got to the curtain, Jack Cassidy came out and told Dare that next week there'd be no more running – it'd be Hartt Vs. Dare – in a HOUSE OF PAIN! A sealed cage, and you can only win by submission! There would be a winner once and for all!
PETE SHERIDAN and THE THING were next in the ring to take on ZAKI, THE ISLAMIC EXTREMIST and THE SPARTAN in tag-team action. The popularity of Zaki and The Spartan was undoubtable but the tag-team work between the two was poor compared to Sheridan and The Thiiiiiing. Spartan never tagged in his partner, instead trying to take on Sheridan and The Thiiiing by himself. It was Sheridan and Spartan to state off with for a few minutes, but when Sheridan tagged in The Thiiiiing the crowd got hot because these were two big power houses, and they really blasted each other. As strong and impressive as the Spartan was, the tag-work between Sheridan and The Thiiiiing, with Shona at ringside creating useful distraction was too much. The match ended when Zaki leapt from the top rope on to The Thiiiiing, not letting go, while the referee tried to tell him to get out of the ring. Spartan, meanwhile, got Sheridan and threw him into Shona. But when he turned around, Zaki was flung into him by The Thiiiing. Thiiiiing then landed on Spartan with a banzai drop while a dazed Shona held on to Spartan's legs from outside the ring to make sure of the 1-2-3.
BILLY RANSOM came out first, whipping the crowd into a frenzy, promising to turn them on. But then the lights went out! When the lights came back on ten seconds later, ALAN IVORY was beating on Ransom, getting a sneak early attack, and doing his best to turn Ransom off! A good match then followed with plenty of pace and aerial maneuvers ended when Ransom went for a top rope leg drop and missed – Ivory was playing possum! Ivory then went to the top rope and hit The Tusk elbow drop to score the victory. But his victory was short lived – the lights went out, and when they came back on Mental Ben was standing over him with a steel chair. Ben then put the chair down and pulled down Ivory's trunks and held his index finger in the air. The fans were going nuts, shouting 'FINGER! ASS! FINGER! ASS' Mental Ben smiled as he knelt down, and to a huge scream of shock from the fans, did what he had been so close to doing for the past few weeks! The violation of Alan Ivory was seen only for a second before the lights went out, but his scream of shock as he leapt out of his unconscious state was well heard! When the lights came on again, Pete Sheridan and The Thiiiiing had come to Ivory's rescue and gave Mental Ben one hell of a beating. No one ever thought they'd seen what they'd just seen in the Nat-Ex ring!
After the chaos had ended, Jack Cassidy came out and said he was shocked at what he had just seen, said it had no place in professional wrestling and was instantly serving Mental Ben and his manager Matt Malone with a $5000 fine and declared they'd never be in a Nat-Ex ring again!
The proposed 6 man tag-action didn't turn out as many expected. STATE CHAMPION STEVE HANSON was supposed to be teamed with TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS THE CALI CONNECTION to face PABLO RAREFACTION and THE DIRTY FACES but once again JIM BASTARD and LEON BRONSKI had got hold of EL LOCO GATO and JOSE RUIZ before the match, and they had all got involved in a massive, and property-damaging brawl in the car-park and they all got arrested. This left Steve Hanson and Pablo Rarefaction alone and against each other in a non-title match. After the previous two superb performances by Rarefaction, this was a let down, and Hanson actually beat him quite easily early on, coming off a reversed irish whip with an IronSpear and getting the 1-2-3. But Rarefaction, disappointed with himself, made up for it after the match, putting Hanson through a table with his 4-D! It was hit with such deadly style that Hanson had to be taken away by the medics.
Main event time. The fans were buzzing. They were looking forward to this Double Blood match where whoever made the other two wrestlers bleed would walk away as the National Champion. BULL TYLER came out first with his National Championship strap. Next out was the towering 7'3 YUBAI, THE GENOCIDAL GIANT who laughed about how he would destroy the little (near 7ft) Bull Tyler and the mini-man Rob Cole and how he was looking forward to seem them bleed. Then out came Cole and started railing against both his opponents. He mocked their courage, their ability, and then suddenly turned his guns on the National Express office and the referees. In a stunning move, the wild brawler suddenly whipped out a straight edge razor and climbed to the second buckle… he talked about blood and violence, and then slashed the blade across his forehead. He climbed down from the turnbuckle in disgust as the blood flowed freely from his open wound.
The fans loved it and wanted the crimson-masked Cole to win more than ever. As far as they were concerned, the decision should never have been reversed last week. This match, which had no rules, was nothing but a total brawl with no friends or even temporary allies. First blood went to Cole ramming Yubai's head into the edge of the ring steps, which got a massive pop. The next blood went to Yubai who somehow hit Bull Tyler with the Kamikaze face-first powerbomb onto an exposed turnbuckle. The brawl carried on and next it was Cole who got bust open from a big boot by Bull Tyler, opening up the self-imposed gash of Coles.
The fans were on the edge of their seats as this brutal contest took its toll on all the men and the pace really slowed down for a few minutes. At this point, anyone could win and it would be hard to see who was busting who open. There were quite a few instances when someone thought they'd bust someone open but the ref couldn't tell for certain so the match carried on. The fans thought it was all over when Bull Tyler smashed Rob Cole in the face with a steel chair knocking teeth loose, blood following, but Tyler had already drawn blood from Cole whose face was now a horrific sight! Then the same thing happened when Yubai hit Bull Tyler with the Kamikaze again, this time on to exposed concrete and busting Tyler's nose, but Yubai had already made Tyler bleed. The pattern was complete when Cole slashed Yubai's arm with the straight edged razor he'd used earlier.
This horrifically violent match should have came to an end when Cole clearly bust open Tyler's head with a chairshot but the referee didn't see it because of all the blood flowing. It was only a couple of minutes later when Tyler used Cole's razor on Yubai's other arm that the referee deemed that Tyler had managed to draw blood from both wrestlers thus giving him victory.
The fans were absolutely furious with another controversial finish. They'd seen Cole bust open both men, the title should have been his, and they started to riot! Jack Cassidy was quickly out, and, with the absolutely bloodied Cole and Tyler looking on, said this needed to be settled once and for all – next week – in a last man standing sealed cage match – you have to make your opponent stay down for the ten count, and with a cage, there'd be no question.
NEXT WEEK…
GRUDGEMENT DAY!
MONDAY, 1st OCTOBER 2006
From the Michael Stipe Ballroom, Athens, Georgia.
THE THIIIIIING and PETE SHERIDAN are next in line for a title shot. They'll face the Jap-Am team of JAAKU ONIMUSHA and NIKUI MONSUTAA, otherwise known as SAISHUUHEIKI who make a special guest appearance.
In a National Championship #1 contenders match, 'YUBAI, THE GENOCIAL GIANT will battle ALAN IVORY. Will Ivory be over his shock? Will Yubai be too tall to see Ivory?
It's been building to this. The Tag-team championship on the line. THE CALI CONNECTION fight THE DIRTY FACES in an elimination STREET FIGHT
Will 'THE PALADIN' CHRIS HARTT finally get a clear victory over 'CLEAN & FAIR' EDDIE DARE in this sealed cage HOUSE OF PAIN match where victory can only be assured by submission?
The doctors say State Champion Steve Hanson is in no fit shape to wrestle following the 4-D, and Jack Cassidy isn't happy with PABLO RAREFACTION – not one bit. So Jack is calling on an old friend, the notoriously psycho extremist who claims to have taught Spikyjim everything Spikyjim knows, who even claims Spikyjim ripped off his gimmick…ROTTEN JOHNNY – in a CAGE MATCH! The future's bright, the future's rotten.
This is what the fans want. With Yubai out of the way, it comes down to NATIONAL CHAMPION BULL TYLER defending his championship against ROB COLE in what is the most anticipated match in Nat-Ex history…a LAST MAN STANDING STEEL CAGE MATCH!
